I don't think there is anything wrong with threads like that. I've found myself ordering (or buying) something I wouldn't otherwise have tried because a bunch of people mentioned it on a message board...

I'm with PAW on this one; I don't get the big deal. Restaurants often have dishes that are really good as well as ones that are just so-so. What's wrong with getting opinions beforehand?

I don't have issue with this either. The restaurant question like "what will I like" I hate. How the hell will strangers know what you like, but asking for suggestions or what other people like...
